We use open data maps, geolocation database in all of our service.  In Helsinki there are different kind of demo maps of road noise during day and night, the locations on outdoor exercise equipments, parking zones and their fees …

Remember The Participation Project In Turku Suburb?

Evaluate the videos!

The researches of the University of Turku, the Department of Geography have a participation project in one of the Turku suburban areas.

Five boards were mounted around Pansio and Perho area. Each of the boards has been located carefully and had a short introduction together with a QR-code by which you’ll enter to a form to answer a question about the neighbourhood.

On last Saturday the renovated boards were launched, and the QRs give you the ideal point of views in video form according to the answers given in beginning of this summer.

Project’s target is to find out the opinions of the inhabitants for the decision making.

The application to answer the QR-based forms is powered by Citynomadi. It is possible to answer without moving from you couch just by choosing the forms. By giving the answers on your couch, remember, the application asks your location. It’s not obligatory to provide it, though.

App on https://citynomadi.com/webapps/utu/

The first questionnaire was open until end of June. Now you’ve got the possibility to vote for the videos!

Video Blog Pilot In Education

We created a video blog module in a pilot of education with Häme polytechnics in Finland. They had a crisis management training which took place in the forest of Evo.

The video blogging has developed to a popular way of self expressing in a digital world. Our pilot was a serious trial to make the video blogging more than useful in an urgent situation in reporting,  evaluating and analysing the incidence.

We’ll release the video blog module that combines video, blogging and location during this autumn. Keep on following us!
